The early years run from birth through five, and most learning happens through play. Some of that play is chosen by the child, some is planned by the teacher. Teachers mix whole-class activities, focused adult-led work, and time for children to follow their own ideas. Manners and structure are part of the day, alongside an academic program that gets children ready for kindergarten.
Rooms are set up as learning centers, so children can move between hands-on activities rather than sit still for long stretches. Teachers plan weekly themes that tie language arts, science, social studies, early math, music, movement, and art together. A child might sort objects at one table, paint at another, and build with blocks nearby. Adults step in to guide, then step back and let children work it out.
A visitor notices how calm the rooms feel and how much children do for themselves. Teachers speak to children at eye level and expect please and thank you. You will see children choosing a center, working alongside a friend, and cleaning up when the timer sounds. That mix of warmth and routine is what prepares them for school.
What a day looks like
Mornings start as children arrive between 6:30 and the time their day begins. A teacher greets each child by name and helps them put their bag away. Younger children often go straight to a quiet activity while they settle. New children are placed with their age group, with teacher input on what suits them.
The middle of the day moves between whole-class time, small-group lessons, and free play at the centers. Children eat, rest, and get outside to run and climb. Teachers watch how each child is doing and adjust the pace. Some children need more movement, some need quiet, and the room allows for both.
Afternoons slow down with quieter activities, then children gather their things for pickup. Teachers share a moment from the day, something a child said or finished, so parents know how it went. Pickup runs until 6:30, which fits most work schedules. Questions about your child are always welcome.
How we work with families
At pickup, teachers tell you what your child did, what they ate, and how they napped. If something happened, you hear it from the teacher, not from your child hours later. You can ask questions at the door or set a time to talk longer. Teachers and parents work as a team on the same goals.
The first weeks are about your child feeling safe here. Teachers give extra attention and keep routines familiar while your child learns the room. You may want to bring a comfort item from home for the first days. Ask the teacher how drop-off is going, and adjust together if your child needs more time.

Yes. A tour is how families decide whether this school fits their child and their week. Children are welcome on the tour, and they will see the classrooms where they would spend their days.
What should my child bring on the first day?
Pack a full change of clothes, including socks, in case of spills or water play. A comfort item from home helps a child settle at rest time. Label everything with your child's name, especially jackets, bottles, and bags.
Do you offer part-time or flexible schedules?
Schedules depend on your child's age group and what openings we have right now. Call or email us and we will tell you what is available for your child. Ask about the full day or part day options if you are unsure which fits.
What if there is no place right now?
If your child's age group is full, we can take your details and contact you when a place opens. Ask us to note the days you need so we can let you know as soon as your child's spot becomes available.
