How we see children
We follow the Early Years Foundation Stage, the period of education from birth through five years. Children learn through play, both child-initiated and planned. Teachers deliver the curriculum through whole-class activities, adult-led focused activities, and child-initiated activities. Our program is known for preparing children for kindergarten, with a strong emphasis on manners and structure. We use an exclusive Bridge-to-Kindergarten program, and Smart Boards in Math, Science, and Language classrooms.
In the rooms, the day moves between whole class activities, adult led focused activities, and child initiated play. Learning centers for Language Arts, Science, Social Studies, Early Mathematics, Music, Movement, Art, and Sensory are set up for hands-on work. Smart Boards support Math, Science, and Language lessons. Teachers watch what holds a child's attention and build from there. Placement follows each child's age, preferred days, teacher recommendations, and assessment of needs.

What you notice in practice
Teachers sit at eye level and join play rather than direct it from above. They watch what a child reaches for, then add a question or a material to extend the thinking. Some activities are whole class, some adult led in small focus groups, and some child initiated. Learning through play, both planned and child led, is the core.
Rooms are set up as learning centers: Language Arts, Science and Social Studies, Early Mathematics, Music and Movement, Art and Sensory, and Center Stations. Children move between hands-on activities and play. The curriculum combines whole class activities, adult led focused activities, and child initiated activities. Teachers pace the day so children can settle into deep play and still come together for group learning.
How we work with families
At pickup, parents hear about what their child did that day — the game they played, the problem they solved, the friend they sat with. Teachers share notes from focused activities and whole-class lessons. If you have a question, ask at drop-off, at pickup, or through the parent section of our website. We keep lines open so small questions stay small.
During the first weeks, teachers learn your child's rhythms and share what they see. The school places each child by age, days preferred, teacher recommendations, and assessment of needs. Call us to ask about the questions you want answered before a first day.
