How enrollment works
Tour the room
Come see the classroom your child would join and meet the teachers who run it. Ask about the day, the rooms, and how children move between activities. You can bring your child along. We will answer what we can and tell you what to expect next.
Enroll and settle in
Complete the enrollment forms and plan a first week that suits your child's routine. Teachers greet each child by name and help them find their place in the room. You can call us at any point with questions. Tell us who picks up and how you want to hear about the day.
What to have ready
Most families bring the enrollment forms, a health form, and an up-to-date immunization record. Have your emergency contacts and the names of anyone authorized to pick up your child ready. Ask the office if you are unsure which papers apply to your child.
Pack a full change of clothes in case of spills or water play. Add outdoor gear for the season, nap items if your child rests, and a small comfort object from home. Label everything with your child's name.
Sort out the drop-off routine before the first day so mornings stay calm. Decide who picks up and make sure that person is on your authorized list. Tell your child's teacher how you would like to hear about the day.
The first weeks
The first days are often shorter while your child gets used to the room. A familiar object from home helps, and a teacher greets your child by name at the door. Children watch the others and join in when they are ready.
At pickup, teachers tell you how your child ate, slept, and played, and who they sat with at lunch. The first weeks often look like this: a short goodbye, a few tears, then a child busy at the water table ten minutes later. Most children settle once the same days repeat each week. Ask the teacher what your child did, not just how they were.

Can we visit before deciding?
Yes, a tour is how most families decide. Children come along and see the classrooms, the Smart Boards, and the playground for themselves.
What should my child bring on the first day?
Pack a full change of clothes, including socks and underwear, in a labelled bag that stays at school. A comfort item helps at rest time. Label everything with your child's name, from the water bottle to the spare shoes, so nothing gets lost in a room full of children.

What does a typical day include?
Days are built around arrival, play and learning, meals and rest, and outdoor time. In the Early Years Foundation Stage there is a strong emphasis on learning through play, both child initiated and planned. Pickup closes the day.
How will I know how my child is doing?
Parents hear about the day at pickup, face to face with the teacher. You can also ask about the weekly themes, what your child worked on at the centres, or how they did at lunch and rest. Staff will tell you what they saw, not just that the day was fine.
Do you offer part-time or flexible schedules?
Schedules depend on your child's age group and openings, so ask what is available. We can talk through the days that fit your week.
What if there is no place right now?
Families can ask to be told when a place opens for their child's age. We do not give dates, but we can note your interest.
What should I ask on the tour?
Ask what the hours are, what part time looks like, and whether meals and snacks are provided. Ask how pickup works, who can collect your child, and what the sign-out routine is. Ask how the first weeks are handled, how the day is paced between whole class activities, adult led focused activities and child initiated play, and how teachers share news with families.
